USD/CAD hits fresh highs as oil plummets
FXStreet (Córdoba) - The USD/CAD pair gained bullish momentum during the US session boosted by a decline of crude oil prices. The pair printed a fresh daily high at 1.1648 and remains above 1.1640, consolidating modest daily gains.
The Canadian dollar is among the worst performers across the board weakened as the WTI barrel drops to fresh multi-year lows below $53.50.
During the last few days the pair has been moving around 1.1620 and today is moving away from there and it could post the second highest close of the year, but still remains below 1.1672 where 2014 highs lie.
