UK Industrial Production rises 1.3% year-on-year in January

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The data released by the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) today showed the industrial production increased 1.3% in January 2015 compared with January 2014. The previous month’s figure was revised higher to 0.8% from 0.5%.

There were increases in two of the four main sectors, with manufacturing output being the largest contributor, increasing by 1.9%. The industrial production decreased by 0.1% in January 2015 compared with December 2014. Meanwhile, Manufacturing output decreased by 0.5% in January 2015 compared with December 2014.
