US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 323K

FXStreet (Edinburgh) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 23K last week to a seasonally adjusted 323K in the week ended February 28, bettering forecasts at 338K and coming from 349K (revised from 348K) in the previous print. Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, dropped by 8K to a seasonally adjusted 2.907 million in the week ended February 21 vs. 2.915 million in the previous week (revised).
